Elastic Improvised Music Series 10th Anniversary!!
This spring marks the 10th anniversary of the Thursday night Elastic Improvised Music Series. To celebrate, we’ll be taking the month of April off to recuperate. But when we return in May, the series moves to its new 9 pm start time, so don't be late.
We’re also happy to announce a new season of bookings. As always, the focus of this series is to provide Chicago's improvising musicians with an incubator in which to develop new projects and ideas. But there are always some fantastic visiting artists along the way….this spring/summer season is no exception.

Sunday Transmission Series at The Hungry Brain Celebrates its' 10th Anniversary
Chicago's most vibrant series for jazz and improvised music celebrates a milestone
In January of 2001, musicians Mike Reed and Josh Berman joined forces to establish a new center for Chicago's already lauded and influential jazz and improvised music community. Inspired by a new wave of peers the two inaugurated the Sunday Transmission Series at The Hungry Brain.
