This spring marks the 10th anniversary of the Thursday night Elastic Improvised Music Series. To celebrate, we’ll be taking the month of April off to recuperate. But when we return in May, the series moves to its new 9 pm start time, so don't be late.

We’re also happy to announce a new season of bookings. As always, the focus of this series is to provide Chicago's improvising musicians with an incubator in which to develop new projects and ideas. But there are always some fantastic visiting artists along the way….this spring/summer season is no exception.

This series is produced in conjunction with UMBRELLA MUSIC, a group of Chicago musicians and presenters working to provide performance opportunities for creative and improvising musicians. Umbrella members produce weekly series on Wednesdays at the Hideout, Thursdays at Elastic, Sundays at The Hungry Brain, and collaborate on the annual Umbrella Music Festival each fall.
